Dr. Pethen arrived in Australia in 2008 having worked on the South Coast of the UK since 1996. She has been with this practice ever since. Dr Kristen Gibbes graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004, and moved to the Central Coast in 2006 to enjoy the beachside lifestyle with her young family. She worked in General Practice in Umina Beach until joining our practice in 2016. Kristen is particularly interested in women’s health, chronic disease management, geriatrics and palliative care. She is an accredited Registrar supervisor and is passionate about educating future GPs. In her spare time she loves running, swimming, camping and generally enjoying the great outdoors.

Dr King graduated from Sydney University and after hospital experience started work in general practice at Umina. Medical interests include chronic disease management, mental health and minor skin surgery. After 35 years at Umina he has joined Your Family Doctors at Erina and is enjoying working with the team. Outside medicine David enjoys sailing, gardening and trying to keep up with eleven grandchildren.

Dr. McDowell qualified in Sydney in 1986 and moved to the Central Coast seven years later. She has been at this practice since 2001. She is one of our Mirena inserters and is interested in contraception, management of menopause, and preventative health. Dr. McDowell does sessions at the Outreach Pap Smear Clinic at Wyong and provides on-call services for victims of sexual assault at Gosford Hospital. She has three children and enjoys playing tennis and netball.

Dr Sambell graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2011. She spent two years on the Central Coast as a junior doctor before moving to Tanzania, East Africa, where she volunteered in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Dr Warren joined in 2015. She and her young family love the outdoors adventurous lifestyle on the Central Coast. Elly enjoys all facets of General Practice and has extra qualifications in Paediatrics, Palliative Care, Mental Health and Skin Cancer. She works part-time at Yerin Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Health Centre in Wyong. Elly holds many external advocacy roles for our patients including as Chair of the Central Coast GP Collaboration Panel. She is a GP Supervisor and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. Elly is a super keen cyclist and fundraises for cancer and the Darkinjung community.

Dr. Michael Little grew up in inner Sydney and completed degrees in history and psychology before graduating Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2013. He completed general hospital training and then worked for four years in obstetrics and gynaecology. He moved to the Central Coast in 2023 and worked at Toukley for 12 months before joining Your Family Doctors at Erina. He is a GP Registrar, with broad interests including women's health, chronic disease management and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Renée Pope is working as a GP registrar at Your Family Doctors. After growing up on the Central Coast she graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2019 and has worked across the Local Health District for the past 3 years including across Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
